This 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was purchased new by the seller’s aunt in Salida, Colorado, and was later relocated to Indiana before it was acquired by the seller in 2018. Five-spoke 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 245/75 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires that show 2003 codes. The front and rear axles are equipped with automatically-locking hubs, and a full-size spare is mounted on a swing-out rear carrier.
The cabin features bolstered front seats and a rear bench upholstered in Dark Slate Gray (DV) patterned cloth along with gray carpets and trim. Carpeted floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include an in-dash CD player, air conditioning, a digital compass, an outside temperature display, and manual windows. Aftermarket speakers were fitted under current ownership, and the removed factory speakers are included in the sale.
A four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just under 6k miles.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was rated at 190 horsepower and 235 lb-ft when new. An oil change was performed in October 2020, and a replacement battery is said to have been installed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Dana 44 front and rear axles with locking differentials were fitted as part of the Rubicon package. The seller states that the output shaft speed sensor was replaced in fall 2020 to fix an oil leak.
