This 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE has been modified for overland use with Terrafirma and Old Man Emu suspension components, 16″ steel wheels with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires, custom bumpers and rock sliders, a 12k-pound winch, a roof rack, and auxiliary lighting in addition to an ARB awning with a screen room and wind break. The interior has been fitted with a cargo area storage system, aftermarket audio components, paracord grab handles, and an onboard air compressor. The truck is finished in burgundy over tan leather, and power is from a 4.6-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Service carried out over the last 12k miles reportedly included resurfacing the cylinder heads as well as replacement of the oil pump, timing chain, water pump, radiator, front driveshaft, and battery.
The truck is finished in Alveston Red and features custom front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, a 12k-pound Badlands winch with a remote and synthetic line, a rear ladder, tinted windows, auxiliary lighting, a Firestik CB antenna, and a roof rack holding waterproof medical cases and recovery tracks. The ARB awning includes a screen room, a floor, a wind break, and interior lights.
Black 16″ Terrafirma steel wheels wear 255/85 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires, including the spare mounted out back. Suspension modifications include Terrafirma 3″ heavy-duty front springs and long-travel shocks, Old Man Emu extra heavy-duty rear springs, and extended rear sway bar links. A Terrafirma steering stabilizer has also been fitted. Extended stainless steel brake hoses have been installed as well as slotted and cross-drilled front rotors.
Heated and power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in tan leather with black piping, which matches the upper dashboard and carpets. The truck is equipped with dual sunroofs, the front of which is inoperable. The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an odometer showing 178k miles.
Interior modifications consist of a Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth, an Alpine four-channel amplifier, Kicker and JBL 6.5″ speakers, an eight-port USB/12-volt hub with a voltmeter, switches for auxiliary lighting, stainless steel cupholders, an OBD2 engine monitor with a 5.5″ screen, a RAM tablet mount, and an overhead CB radio. Paracord grab handles are fitted throughout the cabin.
The cargo area is fitted with a custom rear door panel that features a fold-out table, storage cubbies, and a Smittybilt air compressor. A cargo platform with storage compartments and pull-out bins has also been fitted.
The 4.6-liter V8 was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Service conducted within the last 12k miles reportedly included resurfacing the cylinder heads and replacing their gaskets as well as performing a valve job. A new timing chain, water pump, radiator and hoses, electric fans, spark plugs, ignition wires, and battery are also said to have been fitted.
Additional work under current ownership included replacement of the front driveshaft as well as installing a 180° thermostat, a new coolant reservoir, and a Flowmaster exhaust system according to the seller.
