This 2005 BMW 330i was delivered new in Kansas and spent time in Texas prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2014. This 2005 BMW 330i was delivered new in Kansas and spent time in Texas prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2014. The car is finished in Imola Red over black leather and it is equipped with the factory ZHP performance package, which specified increased engine output, suspension upgrades, special trim, and 18” wheels. Recent work is said to have included an oil change and replacing the front struts.
Cosmetic features of the ZHP package include black Shadowline window trim, a deck lid spoiler, and revised bumpers and side skirts. This example is finished in Imola Red II (405) and features fog lights, xenon headlamps with washers, black grilles, a replacement windshield, an electric sunroof, and twin exhaust outlets. The seller states that the front bumper, hood, and driver-side fender were refinished to correct fading and paint chips. Paint imperfections are noted on the driver-side fender, the clearcoat under the headlamps is peeling, and the driver-side fog light is cracked. An exterior detail and polish was recently performed according to the seller.
Factory 18″ Style 135 wheels exhibit curb rash and wear Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. The ZHP package included more aggressive shock valving and firmer springs as well as strengthened lower control arms. Equipment includes cross-drilled and slotted front brake rotors and Dynamic Stability Control. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the front struts and rear shocks.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black Montana leather with matching door panels, carpets, and aluminum silver cube trim on the doors, dashboard, and center console. Equipment includes power-adjustable heated front sport seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, Harman Kardon audio, and a BMW Business CD stereo linked to a trunk-mounted Audiovox Bluetooth adaptor. The fabric on the A-pillars is sagging, and the satellite radio antenna does not work. Work performed by the seller is said to have included replacing the driver’s door window regulator and the door lock switch.
The M-branded steering wheel is Alcantara-wrapped and frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, fuel economy, and coolant temperature. The seller states that airbag recalls have been addressed under current ownership. The digital odometer shows 156k miles.
The ZHP package included revised engine programing, performance camshafts, and an increased redline, netting a factory rating of 235 horsepower and 222 lb-ft of torque from the 3.0-liter M54 inline-six. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale, an additional maintenance carried out under current ownership is said to have included replacing the coolant expansion tank, coolant temperature sensors, fuel pumps, oil pan gasket, drive belts, and the crankcase ventilation valve and hoses.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
