This 2005 BMW M3 coupe is finished in blue over black leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes the Competition Package, a BMW short shift kit, a navigation system, a Harman Kardon sound system, power-adjustable front sport seats with memory, bi-xenon headlights, and 19″ M cross-spoke wheels. The car was first registered in Florida and spent time in Pennsylvania and Maryland prior to its acquisition by the seller in October 2020. Work performed since 2019 has included the replacement of the rod bearings, VANOS hubs, oil filter housing, and alternator in addition to both rear shocks, the driveshaft coupler and the right-front wheel hub and bearing. Service in August 2021 consisted of replacing the differential bushings, rear trailing arm bushing, subframe bushing, and rear control arm bearing.
The car is finished in Interlagos Blue and features a rear lip spoiler, fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. Additional equipment includes a glass sunroof, Shadowline trim, bi-xenon headlamps, and fog lights. The driver’s door trim was replaced with a BMW-sourced part and repainted along with the front and rear bumpers in February 2020, and a replacement windshield cowl, driver side fog light, and right side headlight level sensor were installed in August 2021.
Silver 19″ M cross-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that measure 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. The ZCP Competition Package added larger cross-drilled brake rotors and a quicker steering ratio than the standard M3. Both rear shocks and the right-front wheel hub and bearing were replaced in September 2020, and an alignment was performed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features seating upholstered in black Nappa leather along with silver cube trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a BMW short shift kit, automatic climate control, cruise control, a navigation system, Harman Kardon audio, and power-adjustable front seats with memory. The center console, armrest and driver’s seat show signs of wear, and the navigation screen is missing pixels. The seller notes that the headliner was replaced in March 2021, a ZHP-spec shift knob was installed in 2021, and rubber floor mats are included in the sale.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames gray instrumentation including a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 135k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six features individual throttle bodies along with double-VANOS variable valve timing and was rated at 333 horsepower and 262 ft-lb of torque when new. The rod bearings and VANOS hubs were replaced under previous ownership, and recent service included replacing the oil filter housing and gasket, alternator, driveshaft coupler, and battery. The left and right side hood struts were replaced and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The subframe was reinforced and the differential bushings, rear trailing arm bushing, subframe bushing, rear control arm bearing, and rear eccentric bolts were replaced in August 2021. The transmission fluid was changed in preparation for sale.
