This 2007 Acura TL Type-S was sold new at Acura of Seattle, Washington and was acquired by the seller in 2012. This 2007 Acura TL Type-S was sold new at Acura of Seattle, Washington and was acquired by the seller in 2012. The car is finished in White Diamond Pearl over a two-tone Taupe and Ebony interior and is powered by a 3.5-liter VTEC V6 mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. The Type-S package included a sport-tuned suspension, Brembo ventilated front brakes, and quad exhaust outlets, and additional equipment consists of an audio and navigation system with voice control, heated sport seats, and automatic climate control. Work in June 2021 included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, idler bearings, and cam seals as well as resurfacing the brake rotors.
The car is finished in White Diamond Pearl (WZ) and features a Type-S specific front fascia, a rear spoiler, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, aftermarket tinted windows, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax indicates damage to the right front of the vehicle in July 2020, which reportedly resulted in repairs of the passenger-side front fender and headlight.
The 17″ 10-spoke alloy wheels are specific to the Type-S and wear 235/45 Continental Control Contact tires up front and 235/45 Yokohama YK580 rubber out back. The seller notes scrapes on the outer surfaces of the wheels. Braking is provided by Brembo ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes.
The cabin features seating upholstered in Taupe leather along with a two–tone Taupe and Ebony dash and door panels. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable seats, carbon-fiber trim, a touch-screen infotainment and navigation display with voice recognition, automatic climate control, and stainless steel sport pedals.
A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 86k miles.
The 3.5-liter VTEC V6 was rated at 286 horsepower and 256 lb-ft of torque when new. Service performed by Matt’s Greenwood Auto Care of Seattle, Washington in June 2021 included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, idler bearings, cam seals, front crankshaft seal, and serpentine drive belt. Additional maintenance at that time consisted of an oil change, cooling system flush, and replacement of the transmission fluid as well as the air and cabin filters.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
