This 2008 BMW M5 is finished in black over black leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter S85 V10 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include 19″ alloy wheels, multi-function front seats with active seat-width adjustment, Park Distance Control, adaptive xenon headlights, navigation, and a head-up display. The car was sold new from Nick Alexander Imports of Los Angeles, California, and was reacquired by BMW of North America in 2009 after a customer satisfaction claim. The car was then sold at auction to a dealer in Illinois and purchased by the seller’s son in December 2009. It was acquired by the seller and relocated to Tennessee in January 2017. Modifications consist of a K&N air intake system and black-finished kidney grilles, and service completed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the alternator, battery, rear pinion seal, tires, and ABS pump and controller.
The car is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) and features a sunroof, a rear lip spoiler, adaptive xenon headlamps with washers, parking sensors, and polished exhaust outlets. Black-painted front grilles have been added along with aftermarket window tint. Imperfections include stone chips on the front bumper and hood, paint cracks in the front bumper, and chips on the roof and the left-rear door and window sill, some of which have been touched up. The seller states the removed front grilles will accompany the car.
Silver-finished 19″ M Style 166 wheels are wrapped with Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires that measure 255/40 up front and 285/35 out back and were reportedly mounted under current ownership. Cross-drilled rotors are fitted, and the seller states that the ABS pump and controller were replaced since 2017. Multiple wheels show curb marks and paint loss.
The cabin features black Merino leather upholstery on the seats and door panel inserts complemented by brushed aluminum shadow trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The climatized front seats feature power adjustment and position memory, and additional amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, M5-branded floor mats, an infotainment system with navigation, and a Logic 7 sound system with a remote six-disc CD changer and Bluetooth connectivity.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer with an inset fuel gauge, a digital display, and a 9k-rpm tachometer with an inset oil temperature gauge. The digital odometer indicates 62k miles.
The 5.0-liter S85 V10 was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. A K&N air intake system is fitted, and the battery and alternator are said to have been replaced since 2017. The oil was changed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear pinion seal was replaced under current ownership.
The window sticker lists factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $89,775.
