This 2008 Chevrolet Corvette is one of 500 examples equipped with the Z4Z Indy Pace Car package, which commemorated the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 25, 2008. The car is finished in black over two-tone black and gray leather, and is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The Indy Pace Car package included Indy 500 exterior graphics, the Z51 performance package, chrome-finished 18″ and 19″ five-spoke wheels, and a dual-mode exhaust system. Additional features include xenon headlights, a head-up display, heated and power-adjustable sport seats, navigation, and a Bose audio system. The car was first registered in Texas and later spent time in New England before moving to Alaska upon the current owner’s acquisition in October 2020.
The car is finished in black with green ribbon graphics on the hood and sides, Indy 500 decals on the doors, Indianapolis Motor Speedway emblems on the front fenders, and pace car driver Emerson Fittipaldi’s signature decals on the rear quarter panels. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights, fog lights, fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets.
Chromed-finished staggered-diameter 18″ and 19″ five-spoke wheels wear 245/40 front and 285/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is equipped with the Z51 performance package, which added stiffer springs and stabilizer bars as well as upgraded shock absorbers and larger cross-drilled brake discs.
The cabin features seats trimmed in two-tone black and gray leather with Indianapolis Motor Speedway logos embroidered on the headrests. Carbon fiber trim accents the center stack and shifter surround, and amenities include heated and power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, navigation, and a Bose audio system.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just over 2k miles.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was factory rated at 436 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with a dual-mode exhaust system. An oil change was performed in February 2020.
