This 2008 Lotus Elise SC is a 60th Anniversary special edition that is one of 39 produced for the US market for the model year and is finished in Phantom Black with silver stripes over black leather upholstery. Power is provided by a supercharged 1.8-liter Toyota 2ZZ inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes the Touring and Sport packs, a removable roof panel, air conditioning, an Alpine stereo, an InoKinetic shifter, a 2bublar exhaust, aftermarket control arms, Penske coilovers, and forged 16″ and 17″ wheels. The car was sold new at Lotus of Austin in Texas and was later acquired in June 2018 by the seller, who has added approximately 3k of its 10k indicated miles. Service under current ownership is said to have included fluid changes, cleaning the fuel injectors, and replacing the engine air filter, fuel injector seals, and spark plugs.
The Elise utilizes composite bodywork including a rear clamshell, and this example is one of 18 of the 60th Anniversary special edition models finished in Phantom Black (B123) with Arctic Silver (B130) stripes. Additional features includes a body-color removable hardtop, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, side intake scoops, and a vented hood and decklid. Tow hooks are equipped at the front and rear of the car, and the seller notes that portions of a previously applied clear protective film have been removed to repair the front lip and perform paint correction in some areas.
Staggered-diameter 16″ and 17″ forged wheels are mounted with 195/50 front and 225/45 rear Yokohama Advan A048 tires. The 60th Anniversary models included the Sport pack, Touring pack, and items from the Track pack as standard. Additions include adjustable Penske coilovers, InoKinetic front control arms, InoKinetic rear toe links, and two-piece slotted rotors at all four corners.
The interior features fixed-back ProBax bucket seats upholstered in black carbon-effect leather with 60th Anniversary embroidery in the backrests. Additional equipment includes an InoKinetic shifter, an Alpine stereo, and air conditioning.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 9k-rpm tachometer and a 180-mph speedometer. The digital odometer shows 10k miles.
The mid-mounted supercharged 1.8-liter 2ZZ inline-four was sourced from Toyota and reworked by Lotus to produce 220 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of torque when new. Additions include a 6.5-quart oil pan, a Walbro fuel pump, and hinges for the rear clamshell bodywork as well as a Braille battery and bracketry. Recent service is said to have included changing the supercharger oil and engine oil along with cleaning the fuel injectors and installing a replacement air filter, fuel-injector seals, and spark plugs.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The car is equipped with a 2bular cat-back exhaust with an 8″ ovular tip.
Removed factory components including the exhaust, shifter, and Bilstein suspension components will accompany the car.
