This 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Competition Sport Edition is one of 10 Z06 models finished in black over a black interior and the 38th of 72 CSR Corvettes produced that year. The car was first delivered to Rudolph Chevrolet of El Paso, Texas, and spent time in Oklahoma, Montana, Ontario, and Washington prior to being acquired by the seller in January 2019 when it was relocated to Arizona. Power is from a 7.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. Features include Competition Gray stripes, a full-width spoiler, mixed diameter Competition Gray aluminum wheels, an Ebony leather interior with titanium embroidery, Corvette racing pedals from GCA, a special engine cover, Corvette Racing “Jake” and CSR logos, a racing-style roundel number featuring the edition number, Cyber Gray xenon headlamps, fog lamps, and carbon-fiber fenders and floor panels.
The C6 Z06 featured a hydro-formed aluminum chassis paired with composite and carbon-fiber bodywork. This example is finished in Black (193) with Competition Gray stripes, Corvette Racing “Jake” and CSR logos as well as a racing-style roundel number featuring the edition number 38. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights, fog lights, a hood scoop, vented fenders and quarter panels, a full-width spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets.
Competition Gray staggered-diameter 18″ and 19″ aluminum wheels wear 275/35 front and 325/30 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is equipped with the Z06 performance package, which added stiffer springs and stabilizer bars as well as upgraded shock absorbers and six-piston front and four-piston rear cross-drilled brake discs with red calipers.
The cabin features seats trimmed in Ebony leather with red stitching and Corvette Racing “Jake” and CSR logos embroidered in Titanium on the headrests and center armrest. Carbon-fiber trim accents the center stack and shifter surround, and amenities include perforated power-adjustable bucket seats, automatic climate control, Z06 door sill protectors, cruise control, floor mats, a driver information center, a head-up display, aluminum foot pedals, and an AM/FM/CD stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 92 miles.
The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 features a dry-sump lubrication system and was factory rated at 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Rudolph Chevrolet of El Paso, Texas, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total vehicle price of $78,005.
The window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and front license plate bracket are included in the sale.
