The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter N54 inline-six received stiffened engine mounts, a unique ECU tune, revised cooling, and a free-flow exhaust system to produce a factory-rated output of 320 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, which is an increase of of 20 horsepower and 30 lb-ft of torque when compared to a standard 335i. A temporary overboost function raises the torque ratingto 370 lb-ft, and an oil change was performed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission borrowed from the contemporary M3.
