Description
This 1928 Packard Six is a Series 526 five-passenger phaeton that was purchased by the current owner in 2003 and placed into his collection. It underwent a cosmetic refurbishment in 2007, with subsequent mechanical overhauls that included a rebuild of the 288ci inline-six in 2013. The car is finished in two-tone green over brown pleated leather upholstery, and equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, a Bijur chassis lubrication system, four-wheel mechanical drum brakes, 20″ disc wheels, dual side-mount spares, Trippe Speedlights, a Boyce MotoMeter radiator cap, cowl lamps, glass wind wings, a tan soft top, and an upholstered central cabin partition with locking storage cabinets. This Fifth Series Packard is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner as part of the John C. Mesloh Collection with tan side curtains and transferable New York registration. The Style 331 five-passenger phaeton bodywork was refinished in two-tone green with darker fenders and bodyside trim by Limo Tech of Ronkonkoma, New York, approximately 20 years ago. Details include bright dual-blade bumpers, Trippe Speedlight driving lamps, a Boyce MotoMeter radiator cap, cowl lamps, glass wind wings, a tan soft top, running boards, rear-hinged rear doors, dual taillight clusters, and a fold-down luggage rack. Tan side curtains are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery below.
