1929 Chevrolet Series AC International

Clean 1929 Chevy Series AC International **Going on BAT Soon!!** A wonderfully preserved and well-kept example of Chevrolet's pivotal return to the six-cylinder era, this 1929 Chevrolet Series AC International Coupe captures the optimism, engineering advancement, and design flair that defined the late-1920s American automobile. Showing 49,000 miles, this attractive two-door coupe represents Chevrolet's strategic response to Ford's Model A—ushering in the now-legendary 194 cu in “Stovebolt Six,” the engine that would help define Chevrolet reliability for decades. In 1929, Chevrolet heavily marketed the new 6-cylinder powerplant as “A six for the price of a four,” delivering a notable bump to 46 horsepower—an 11 HP improvement over the outgoing four-cylinder—while maintaining nearly identical pricing to the previous model year. For younger buyers and style-focused customers, the Coupe, Sport Coupe, and Roadster body styles offered a more spirited and fashionable alternative within the model range. This particular Coupe mirrors the color scheme shown in the original 1929 sales brochure, finished in classic dark blue with gloss black fenders, roof cap, and running boards, accented by fine beige/cream pinstriping along the body sides and hood louvers. Inside, a restored light brown/tan mohair interior wraps the cabin in period-correct warmth and comfort. Featuring desirable options such as front and rear chrome bumpers and an electric windshield wiper, along with tasteful and safety-minded upgrades like LED headlamps and LED taillighting, this Series AC has been maintained in a spirit that honors originality without sacrificing usability. An older frame-up restoration, now gracefully matured, continues to present well—turning heads on the road, in local shows, or even just rolling into the town parade. Approaching its 100-year milestone, this 1929 Chevrolet offers a wonderful opportunity to steward a piece of pre-Depression automotive history—an inviting candidate for vintage tours, regional shows, or enthusiastic weekend enjoyment.
