1932 Ford Coupe 3 Window Project

Vehicle Description 1932 Ford Coupe $43,900 Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe Project. There are few silhouettes in the American hot-rod world more recognizable than the early Ford coupe. The 1932 Ford in particular became the foundation of the American hot-rod movement, earning the nickname “Deuce” from the “2” in its model year. Ford\'s introduction of an affordable V8 in 1932 transformed the car from ordinary transportation into one of the most important performance platforms in automotive history. After World War II, young enthusiasts discovered that inexpensive used Fords could be transformed into lightweight, fast and highly personalized hot rods. The Deuce became so deeply embedded in American car culture that the three-window and five-window coupes became icons of the hot-rod world, eventually appearing in magazines, movies and popular music. The Beach Boys\' Little Deuce Coupe and the prominent role of the Deuce in American Graffiti helped cement its place in American culture. And the enthusiasm has never really gone away. Original-steel Ford coupes are increasingly difficult to find because so many were modified, raced, chopped, customized or otherwise transformed over the decades. Today, reproduction bodies exist, but a genuine Henry Ford steel foundation remains highly desirable to builders who want authenticity. This 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe project features a predominantly original Henry Ford steel body, complemented by replacement steel fenders. The car has been professionally chopped, giving it the unmistakable stance and attitude that have made early Ford coupes such enduring favorites among hot rodders. The body is finished in black paint that is in overall excellent condition and presents very well. This is an all-steel car, not a fiberglass reproduction, which makes the project particularly interesting to the traditionalist who wants genuine Ford steel as the foundation for a custom build. Power comes from a rebuilt 302 cubic-inch Ford V8, coupled to a C4 automatic transmission. The combination provides an excellent foundation for a reliable, enjoyable street rod and leaves the new owner plenty of opportunity to personalize the final build. The car is equipped with:All-steel Ford body,Predominantly original Henry Ford steel,Replacement steel fenders,Chopped roof,302 CI Ford V8 — rebuilt,C4 automatic transmission,Parallel front springs,Dual exhaust,Rumble seat,Rumble seat cushion currently removed,New wiring harness included,Bench seat included,Black exterior andMuch of the major work already completed. The car needs a windshield and finishing, making this an ideal project for an experienced hot rodder who wants to take a substantially completed foundation and make it his or her own.The current owner has nearly $50,000 invested in the car and, unfortunately, is no longer able to complete the project due to health reasons. This is therefore a genuine opportunity to acquire a project that has already consumed considerable time and expense, without starting from scratch. For the hot-rod enthusiast, the appeal is simple: the project is already started, but the final vision is still yours. Want a traditional period-style rod? Build it. Want a more aggressive street machine? Build it.Want to retain the chopped roof and create a sinister black coupe with a powerful small-block Ford? This car gives you an excellent foundation. That\'s part of the enduring appeal of these cars. There really is no single \"correct\" way to finish one. This is a terrific opportunity for the traditional Ford hot-rod enthusiast to acquire a substantial, partially completed project that already has significant time, money and hard-to-find components invested. The owner also has a complete frame assembly available separately, featuring a 348 CI Chevrolet V8 with a six-carburetor setup and a TH350 automatic transmission.Approximately $30,000 has been invested in this additional package. This could be an interesting option for the buyer who wants to take the project in a more traditional hot-rod/high-performance direction or simply wants to acquire an additional substantial collection of components along with the coupe. The frame/348/6-carb/TH350 package is available for sale separately. Please inquire with Jeff for additional information and pricing. Or see our separate listing on the website.
