Finished in an eye-catching mint green metallic, this Chrysler retains its unmistakable Art Deco body lines while incorporating tasteful upgrades that make it a pleasure to drive. With just 11K miles accumulated since the build was completed, this is a well-executed older restoration that still presents exceptionally well today. The elegant exterior is complemented by a set of classic Cragar wire wheels wrapped in wide whitewall tires, giving the car a refined, period-correct appearance that perfectly matches its vintage styling. The paint continues to shine nicely and has held up remarkably well over the years. As expected from an older build, there are a few minor cosmetic flaws throughout, all of which are shown in the accompanying photos, but nothing that takes away from the car's overall presentation. This is a driver-quality street rod that you won't be afraid to enjoy. One of the most distinctive features of this Chrysler is its factory-style suicide door configuration, which adds both character and convenience when entering the cabin. Inside, the custom gray leather interior has been tastefully finished with matching front and rear bucket seats. We believe the power front seats were sourced from a late-model Cadillac, offering outstanding comfort while blending surprisingly well with the classic styling of the car. Power windows provide additional convenience, while the original Chrysler dashboard and gauges have been retained to preserve the vintage look of the interior. An aftermarket Sony head unit paired with Sony speakers delivers excellent sound quality, and the windshield wipers remain functional for those unexpected weather changes. Under the hood sits a mildly built Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V8 equipped with an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, upgraded aluminum radiator, and electric cooling fan. The engine starts easily, runs strong, and provides plenty of reliable power for cruising. Paired with power steering and power brakes, this Chrysler is surprisingly easy to drive despite its nearly century-old styling. Modern comforts include both heat and air conditioning, with the A/C blowing cold for comfortable summer cruising. Mechanically, this street rod performs exactly as it should. It runs, drives, and cruises down the road with confidence, making it an excellent choice for weekend drives, local cruise nights, or regional car shows. The thoughtful upgrades allow you to enjoy the timeless appearance of a 1930s Chrysler without sacrificing the drivability expected from a modern classic. If you're looking for a unique pre-war street rod that stands apart from the crowd, this 1936 Chrysler Airstream Sedan deserves a serious look. With its striking mint green metallic finish, classic Cragar wire wheels, comfortable Cadillac-sourced leather seating, reliable 350ci Chevrolet V8, modern conveniences including power windows, heat and cold A/C, and just 11K miles since completion, this Chrysler offers the perfect blend of vintage styling, modern comfort, and dependable performance.
