1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe Street Rod

Vehicle Description 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe $55,000 Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to offer this stunning 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe, a beautifully updated and exceptionally well-kept example that combines timeless pre-war Chevrolet styling with modern drivability and comfort. Finished in a brilliant red with a fresh paint job completed in November 2025, this Business Coupe has the presence of a classic show car while retaining the road manners to make it a true driver. Under the hood is a refreshed 350 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 featuring chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner, paired with a 200-4R automatic transmission and 10-bolt rear end. The car rides on a late-1970s Monte Carlo chassis, with the front and rear suspension grafted onto the original 1937 frame. This modernized chassis setup, along with four-wheel disc brakes, rear-wheel drive, air conditioning, and a heater, makes this vintage Chevrolet remarkably enjoyable to drive. The owner has cared for this car for approximately 15 years and has used it as a daily driver, a testament to how well sorted and dependable this classic has become. Most recently, it was just driven on an impressive 21-day road trip across the country to the East Coast and back, proving that this isn't simply a garage queen-it's a proven, road-ready driver. Inside, you'll find attractive leather bucket seats finished in black with red inserts, Auto Meter gauges and clock, Chevy floor mats, tinted windows, lap seat belts, and an AM/FM/CD radio. Additional convenience features include power windows, power antenna, 2-speed wipers, AC/Heater, and an easy-access battery cable. The exterior is equipped with halogen headlights, a classic Chevy hood ornament, LED running board lights, LED brake lights, and a third brake light integrated into the rear window. New Goodyear blackwall tires, dual exhaust, a new wiring harness, and trunk lid pistons add even more to the car's usability and presentation. This 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe has been exceptionally well cared for and genuinely enjoyed. The combination of long-term ownership, recent fresh paint, refreshed 350 V8, modern chassis and suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a documented cross-country road trip makes this a particularly appealing classic for someone who wants to drive and enjoy their vintage Chevrolet rather than simply look at it.
