Vehicle Description 1937 Chrysler Desoto $34,995 "Rear suicide doors make the 1937 Chrysler DeSoto Streetrod truly unique. Finished in black with bronze-colored accents on the trim pieces, front grille, mirrors, and door handles, this DeSoto has a bold two-tone effect. Large hubcaps painted to match the color scheme add to the visual appeal. The body is straight with doors that open and shut flush. The 15-inch wheels come wrapped in all-season 205/75R15 front and 215/75R15 rear tires, maintaining classic proportions while upgrading the driving dynamics. Gray bucket seats from a modern Chrysler model provide comfort and support inside this DeSoto. Carbon fiber-like material covers the door panels, creating an interesting contrast against the gray upholstery. A woodgrain aftermarket steering wheel sits on the tilt steering column, while black carpet lines the floor. The custom dash contains TPI Tech gauges with aluminum trim and a JVC radio offering CD/USB/AUX inputs. Front kick panel speakers handle the audio output, and manual crank windows maintain a traditional feel in the cabin. GM's 5.0 liter V8 engine supplies the power, mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. A Holley Brawler carburetor manages fuel delivery and long tube headers connect to a dual exhaust system with aftermarket mufflers. Power brakes with discs up front offer effective stopping. The front suspension uses coil springs with shocks, while the rear employs a solid 10-bolt axle with leaf springs and shocks, balancing ride quality with handling.
