Description
This 1939 Buick Series 40 Special four-door touring sedan was purchased by the seller’s father in 2008 and subsequently received a multi-year refurbishment totaling into the six figures. The car went on to win First Place in the American Compact Cars class at the 2010 New Mexico Council of Car Clubs (NMCCC) Albuquerque Museum Car Show, and ownership was passed to the seller in 2026. The car is finished in maroon over tan cloth and is powered by a 248ci straight-eight linked with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ steel wheels with hubcaps, a two-way-opening hood, a push-button AM radio, and an under-dash heater. This Series 40 Special is now offered with refurbishment records, a 2026 appraisal report, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory in Teton Brown and was refinished in maroon in 2008. Exterior details include a two-piece waterfall grille, a hood ornament, vented hood panels, running boards, and dual side mirrors. Exterior blemishes are noted.
