1939 Lincoln Zephyr

1939 Lincoln Zephyr V12 Convertible Sedan - Award Winning Frame Off Restoration In the realm of automotive elegance, where craftsmanship meets nostalgia, one name stands out with timeless grandeur—the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr. A masterpiece from a bygone era, this convertible sedan is not just a car; it's a symphony of V12 power, exquisite design, and meticulous restoration. Under the hood of this automotive marvel lies a heart that beats with a V12 267 Cubic Inch L-Head engine, producing a robust 110 horsepower. This powerhouse ensures a driving experience that is not merely a commute but a journey through time, where the purr of the engine resonates with the echoes of history. This particular 1939 Lincoln Zephyr holds a prestigious distinction—it is one of only 302 convertible sedans crafted in that vintage year. Its Neenah Cream exterior, akin to a creamy confection, stands out in a world often dominated by mundane hues. Paired with a luxurious brown leather interior, every curve and contour of the car becomes a canvas for elegance. The resurrection of this automotive gem was entrusted to the skilled hands of Kevin Westmoreland from Cleveland, Georgia. A maestro in the realm of paint and bodywork, Westmoreland breathed life back into this classic, ensuring that the restoration journey was nothing short of extraordinary. No expense was spared in the resurrection process, with a commitment to using only original or New Old Stock (NOS) parts. The meticulous restoration, a labor of love, reached its crescendo in the year 2000. Since then, this Lincoln Zephyr has garnered accolades that affirm its unrivaled quality. In 2000, it received the Best Junior Zephyr award in St. Louis, MO, followed by the Best Senior Zephyr title in Gloucester, VA, in May 2001. The string of victories continued with the Best Zephyr of Show at Dearborn, MI, and the Lincoln Trophy at the LCOC in June 2003. Notably, the car clinched the prestigious LCOCL Edsel Ford Trophy in September 2003. This illustrious journey through competitions and triumphs is complemented by its climate-controlled haven. Since its restoration, the Lincoln Zephyr has been sheltered in such a controlled environment, with its odometer clocking less than 1000 miles. Freshly adorned with custom bias-ply look radial Auburn white wall tires, the car is not just a relic; it's a spectacle. The 1939 Lincoln Zephyr is not merely a vehicle; it is an artifact of history. Conceived by Edsel Ford and designed by the visionary Eugene Turenne Gregorie, the Zephyr introduced the world to streamlined aerodynamics. With a low raked windscreen and integrated fenders, it set the standard for modern design. The name "Zephyr," derived from the Greek word Zephyrus—the God of the West Wind, pays homage to its streamlined prowess. Included with the car is an original tool kit and jack, embodying the essence of completeness. A detailed undercarriage, coupled with a show board and an array of trophies, showcases the dedication invested in preserving this masterpiece. It's not just a car; it's a testament to an era when automotive design transcended utility and became art. In a world enamored by the latest and the fastest, the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr beckons enthusiasts and connoisseurs to appreciate the elegance of yesteryears. Mint condition, meticulously restored, and ready to grace the roads, this convertible sedan is more than a car; it's a legacy on wheels.
