1940 Buick Super

Vehicle Description 1940 Buick Super $32,995 1940 Buick Super was a great design by the legendary Harley Earl with its 'Torpedo' C-body and a lot of great features for that time period. Not only is the car a great looking design, but it's also quite a roomy, comfortable, and practical car to drive compared to others in that time period. Stays with modern roads and traffic just fine. Also a full size back seat for extra passengers! This beautiful Buick Super has been well loved by its past few owners. It has been serviced well through the years, has never needed a full restoration, and has been garage kept its whole life. This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun! This car will be a treasure for your family to own for years to come and a great investment too. Features: Original sticker price: $1,058.00 Engine: 248ci 'Fireball' 8 Cylinder Engine Transmission: 3 Speed Manual with column shift Electrical System: 12 volts (and converted to alternator) Production Figure for this model: 26,251 Wheelbase: 121 inches Fuel economy: 13-16 mpg Weight: 3,735 Overall Length: 204 inches Top Speed – 80+ mph This coupe was owned by a Buick Club member for many years and was his favorite car to drive to shows and cruise-ins. The original engine runs very well, idles smooth, and makes very good power. The transmission shifts well/smooth through all of the gears and has a good feeling clutch. Doors open and close nicely with a thud. The car drives excellent. No excessive play in the steering, noises, or anything of that sort. VERY easy to steer and stop. The 12 conversion a big plus for reliability. The car just had some recent service which included a new battery and new wide white wall tires that have less 100 miles on them. Just a beautiful looking car both inside and out. While there are various areas that have been touched up, and the paint is older, you can see that it shines very well and is very attractive in the photos.
