1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe

This 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe is a comprehensively built restomod street rod, constructed from the ground up on a custom fabricated chassis and powered by a Ford 5.0-liter crate engine. Finished in Matador Red over a custom tan leather interior, it features modern independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, power disc brakes, and Vintage Air air conditioning, and it rides on American Racing wheels. Showing approximately 3,500 km since its completion, this Ford is now being offered for auction in Canada.

The all-steel body has been finished in Matador Red over a bare-metal restoration, with custom body trim pieces, paint-matched side steps, and poppers on all doors. It rides on 17" American Racing wheels up front and 18" at the rear, mounted with Falken tires. The seller describes the paint as flawless with no chips and the body as straight and all-steel. The custom interior is trimmed in tan leather, extending to the floors, and features a wood-grain dashboard, window frames, and steering wheel, a one-piece windshield, and FOMOCO gauges. Power comes from a Ford 5.0-liter crate engine, detailed with Billet Specialties accessories and cooled by a PCR aluminum radiator, paired with a Ford AOD automatic transmission built by Gearstar. The custom fabricated frame features independent front suspension, AFCO coilovers, power rack-and-pinion steering, power disc brakes, and a Ford 9-inch rear end, along with a stainless-steel fuel tank, stainless fuel and brake lines, and a ceramic-coated custom exhaust. The seller reports the build has covered less than 5,000 miles and that a binder documenting the parts and wiring accompanies the car, though shop invoices are not available.
