1946 Ford Deluxe

1946 Ford Deluxe Tudor Club Coupe Flathead V8 3-Spd Manual 12V Stepping back into the immediate post-war era, this 1946 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan offers classic Flathead V8 power, timeless styling, and the kind of charm that has made these early Ford sedans popular with collectors for generations. Benefiting from an older cosmetic restoration and tasteful upgrades for drivability, this Ford is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the hobby with a dependable and enjoyable vintage automobile. Under the hood is Ford's legendary 239 cubic-inch Flathead V8, factory rated at 90 horsepower and paired with the traditional 3-speed manual transmission shifted through the steering column. The combination delivers the unmistakable sound and driving experience that made the Flathead V8 one of the most influential engines in automotive history. A dual exhaust system enhances the character of the engine while maintaining the classic appearance and feel of the car. Finished in Dark Red, this Tudor Sedan has an attractive vintage presence that turns heads wherever it goes. At some point during its life, the front end was updated to 1947 styling, giving the car a slightly newer post-war appearance while retaining its overall Ford character. The body presents well overall and reflects the benefits of an older restoration that has been enjoyed and maintained rather than hidden away. The interior features a beautiful white rolled-and-pleated bench seat interior that complements the exterior color nicely and captures the custom styling trends that have long been popular with these classic Fords. The spacious cabin offers plenty of room for passengers and provides the simple, elegant atmosphere that defines 1940s motoring. To improve reliability and ease of ownership, the car has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system. Auxiliary 12-volt gauges mounted beneath the dashboard provide additional monitoring while maintaining the vintage look of the original dash. An AM/FM radio has also been added, allowing modern listening capability while cruising. The car rides on steel wheels fitted with chrome hubcaps and a set of new radial tires, significantly improving road manners compared to original-style bias-ply tires. Suspension remains traditional Ford with transverse leaf springs front and rear, while drum brakes at all four corners maintain the authentic driving experience expected from a vehicle of this era. This Ford is best described as a driver-quality classic that shows well and is ready to be enjoyed. As with many older restorations, there are areas that could be improved depending on the next owner's goals. The running boards would benefit from new rubber, and we encourage interested buyers to review all photos carefully for overall condition and presentation. Whether you're looking for a local cruise night car, a weekend parade vehicle, or simply an affordable piece of American automotive history, this 1946 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan delivers tremendous character and charm. With Flathead V8 power, a manual transmission, attractive styling, and sensible upgrades for modern driving, it represents a great entry-level classic that is ready to create new memories with its next owner.
