1949 Ford Business Coupe

Vehicle Description 1949 Ford Business Coupe As the first new postwar models from Ford, the 1949 passenger-car lineup broke from tradition with fresh new styling with a lower and wider look that continues to be admired today. Thanks to their unforgettable styling, the 1949-51 Ford “Shoebox” models became instant icons as the base material for the new customizing trend that took hold by the early 1950s. This 1949 Ford custom coupe is a great modern build that echoes the look and feel of those days. Featuring a stock and unmodified body, finished with a Dark Grey metallic paint finish, this custom coupe is enhanced by a satin-finished front bumper and deleted rear bumper, plus pin stripe accents hand-painted by “Bruce,” dual chrome mirrors, a driver-side spotlight, chrome lake pipes, “Blue Dot” taillight lenses, and Red painted steel wheels mounting chrome “flipper” hub caps and Whitewall radial tires. Inside, the Ford features smart Black and Grey 2-tone upholstery and pin stripe accents, with the driver greeted by an OEM steering wheel, Moon tachometer, and Bosch coolant-temperature gauge. A modern JVC stereo head unit delivers the tunes. Power is delivered by a Flathead Ford V-8 engine, driving a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission, fortified by period speed equipment including triple Ford-scripted carburetors and Offenhauser aluminum cylinder heads. If you’re looking for a classic custom to show and cruise with all the hard work already done, this 1949 Ford custom coupe is the ticket! Canadian tax is not applicable.
