Description
This car has a special place in US Automobile history. It was one of the first cars to break the "pre war" style and was sometimes referred to as the first modern car. Influenced by the Military Fighters of WWII, the car had a radically new design. This model is finished in the famous original "black cherry" color, and has original interior cloth, though the naugahyde has been replaced. This car had few options and this one had them all, clock and radio. It also includes an after market but correct era altimeter, often placed in autos of the time. This car turns heads wherever it goes, from small car shows to the ice cream parlor. People simply do not know what it is, or alternatively remember these Studebakers fondly from their youth. The fact this is a convertible increases its value and uniqueness. You rarely see them.
169 Cu. in flathead 6 producing 85 horsepower. 113" Wheelbase. Hill holder brakes and a "free wheeling" overdrive system. I had a video made you can watch on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS2spAYckSk
