Vehicle Description 1951 Studebaker 2R10-22 Pickup $17,951 1951 Studebaker 2R10-22 Pickup, 169 Cubic Inch Inline 6 Engine, Engine, 4-Speed Manual, Dark Blue, Beautifully Redone If you are looking for something different from the typical vintage Ford or Chevrolet pickup, take a close look at this beautiful 1951 Studebaker 2R10-22 Pickup. With its unmistakable Studebaker styling, handsome Dark Blue finish, nicely redone Brown interior, and great-running drivetrain, this is one seriously good-looking classic truck. Studebaker trucks from this era have a character all their own. The rounded cab, distinctive front-end styling, flowing fenders, and clean body lines give the 2R-Series trucks a timeless appearance that stands out everywhere they go. This example has been nicely redone while retaining the straightforward personality that makes an early Studebaker pickup so appealing. Finished in a rich Dark Blue, the truck presents beautifully and has a great stance. The color works exceptionally well with the brightwork and contrasts perfectly with the new Brown interior. It has the kind of vintage appearance that looks equally at home at a local cruise night, car show, or simply heading down a country road on a Sunday afternoon. Under the hood is the 169 cubic-inch engine paired with a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission. The truck runs good and is a pleasure to experience the way an early-1950s pickup was intended with a manual gearbox, simple mechanicals, and plenty of vintage character. Inside, the interior has been redone in Brown and looks terrific against the Dark Blue exterior. The fresh interior maintains the simple, functional design of the original Studebaker cab while giving the truck a clean and finished appearance. One particularly nice feature of this Studebaker is that it offers two different wheel-and-tire combinations. Currently, the truck has a set of custom wheels with new tires that give it a slightly more aggressive stance and really complement the Dark Blue exterior. Also included are the original Budd wheels fitted with new Coker tires, allowing the next owner to return the truck to a more traditional, period-correct appearance whenever desired. Having the original-style wheels along with fresh Coker tires is a great bonus and gives you the best of both worlds. The truck has also been equipped with directionals, making it more convenient and practical for today's roads. In addition, lots of extra parts are included with the sale—another big advantage for anyone who knows how valuable original and spare components can be when owning a vintage vehicle. At almost any car show, you'll see rows of vintage Chevrolet and Ford pickups. A Studebaker is a different story. These trucks have distinctive styling, tremendous character, and represent an important piece of American automotive history that you simply don't see every day. This 1951 Studebaker gives its next owner plenty of flexibility as well. Run the custom wheels for the tougher stance it has today, or install the original Budd wheels with the new Coker tires for a more traditional vintage appearance. Either way, this truck looks right. The Dark Blue exterior, Brown interior, floor-shifted 4-speed, classic Studebaker body lines, and beautiful stance come together to make this a truck you'll be proud to own and show. Most importantly, it isn't just something to sit in the garage and look at. This is a good-looking, good-running vintage pickup ready to be driven and enjoyed. For the collector who wants something with real 1950s character—and something different from what everyone else has—this 1951 Studebaker 2R10-22 Pickup deserves a serious look.
