Description
This 1953 Pontiac Chieftain two-door sedan was modified in 2019 with custom bodywork that included chopping the roof, sectioning in a 1941 Chevrolet rear window, and repainting the body in platinum and metallic orange. Power is provided by a 1968 Pontiac 350ci V8 that was rebuilt and equipped with a FiTech electronic fuel injection system. Shifting is via a 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes black-finished 15″ steel wheels with chrome center caps, custom lowered springs, rear air helper springs, smoothed and shortened bumpers, a rear receiver hitch, gray cloth upholstery, and an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this Chieftain is now offered with a car cover and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name. The roof was chopped 4″ in front and 6″ in back during the aforementioned refurbishment, at which time a rear window was sectioned in from a 1941 Chevrolet. Originally finished in Cirro Gray and Marathon Gray (14), the car was repainted in platinum and metallic orange. The front and rear bumpers were shortened, smoothed, and shaved of mounting bolts, and the exterior brightwork was re-chromed. A receiver hitch was also installed. The seller notes bubbling in the clearcoat near trim pieces in two or three areas due to premature trim reinstallation, as well as dings around the body.
