Description
This Concours award-winning 1954 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is powered by a matching-numbers 331ci V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor, backed by a four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Starting with an all-original car, it underwent a documented professional concours rotisserie restoration to factory specifications by Apex Classics & Customs in Glendale, Arizona, with more than $500,000 invested. All OEM and NOS parts were used during the restoration. The exterior is finished in its factory-original color of Apollo Gold (Paint Code 16), which was part of a limited four-color palette created exclusively for the 1954 model year to differentiate the new standalone Eldorado convertible from the rest of Cadillac’s standard luxury lineup. It features a black Stayfast power convertible top with a fiberglass parade boot color-matched to the car, factory one-piece door windows with special-order wind deflectors and authentic Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels mounted with wide whitewall tires. The undercarriage was finished to factory specifications, including red oxide epoxy primer. The yellow leather interior has matching side panels and features power windows and an AM/FM radio. The dash-mounted Autronic Eye automatic headlight-dimming system is also included. An electronic ignition and electric fuel pump were installed to improve drivability while maintaining the original appearance. Other factory equipment includes power brakes and power steering. The factory trim tag documents the original color combination of Apollo Gold with a yellow leather interior and black convertible top. Coincidentally, the VIN for this car ends in “1954,” matching the vehicle’s model year. This Eldorado convertible is one of 2,150 produced for the 1954 model year. The multi-year restoration was completed in January 2026. Receipts are included with the sale. It was awarded First Place in Class at the 2026 Arizona Concours d'Elegance.
