1955 Buick Special RESTOMOD LS LEATHER

Vehicle Description 1955 Buick Special $59,500 "Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. Buick has long been known for building automobiles that blended comfort, quality, and understated luxury, earning the brand its famous ""doctor's car"" reputation. This beautiful 1955 Buick Series 40 Special Riviera Hardtop Coupe takes that classic Buick character and adds a serious dose of modern performance and technology. Finished in its original-style PPG Carmen Metallic paint, this sharp two-door hardtop retains the elegant lines that made the mid-1950s Buick Special such a distinctive automobile while incorporating a carefully executed restomod build. The body has been shaved, nosed, and decked for a clean, streamlined appearance, while the classic Buick styling remains unmistakable. Lift the hood and you'll find a modern 6.2L LS3 V8 controlled by a PSI engine management system. The custom engine bay is beautifully detailed and features a custom engine cover incorporating the original Buick VentiPorts, giving the modern powerplant a distinctly Buick appearance. The LS3 is paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission and backed by a Ford 9-inch rear end, providing a combination of power, reliability, and modern drivability that is a considerable step beyond the original powertrain. The chassis and braking systems have also received significant upgrades. Power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, a recently rebuilt front end, and modern remote jump terminals add convenience and confidence behind the wheel. Electric Life power windows and door poppers provide additional modern touches while maintaining the clean exterior appearance. Inside, the custom interior continues the theme of blending Buick heritage with modern technology. The cabin features distinctive 1966 Buick Gran Sport bucket seats, along with a Buick hood ornament incorporated into the Lokar floor shifter. An American Instruments digital gauge cluster provides modern monitoring while fitting the personality of the car. An Infinity Box CAN-bus wiring system provides the foundation for the car's modern electrical accessories. Entertainment and convenience haven't been overlooked either. The Pioneer stereo features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a backup camera, while the restomod air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable during warm-weather cruising. Dual exhaust gives the LS3 a proper performance-car soundtrack, while Diamond Back wide whitewall tires mounted on steel wheels preserve the vintage character of this handsome Buick. The combination of modern mechanicals, custom craftsmanship, and traditional styling makes this Special Riviera a unique interpretation of the classic American hardtop. The previous owner reportedly invested nearly $300,000 into the build, and the level of detail throughout the car certainly reflects a significant investment of time, effort, and resources. From the shaved bodywork and custom engine bay to the modern drivetrain, upgraded chassis, and distinctive interior, this Buick offers a very different driving experience than the typical 1955 Special. If you're looking for a classic Buick with unmistakable 1950s presence and the performance, comfort, and technology to make it an enjoyable modern cruiser, this 1955 Buick Special Riviera deserves a close look.
