Vehicle Description 1955 Oldsmobile Deluxe 88 $26,995 "This 1955 Oldsmobile Deluxe 88 Holiday Coupe is a rolling piece of American history, blending sleek design with timeless muscle. This pillarless hardtop coupe stands out with its unique two-tone paint scheme in Chartreuse and Polar White, a charming nod to mid-century flair. Restored from a frame-off project completed in 2020, it carries the soul of a classic while boasting a rebuilt 324 Rocket V8 with less than 1,000 miles on the build. This is a car that demands attention for both its heritage and its potent performance. Step inside to find an interior that reflects careful craftsmanship and vintage allure. The white vinyl bench seats with dark green inlays create a striking contrast, matched perfectly by the original-style door cards. Though showing some age and patina, the cabin remains true to factory specifications, featuring a white painted dash with green dash pad and classic gauges. The factory AM radio, while inoperable, adds to the authentic period feel. Comfort is complemented by a heater system, making every journey inviting in cooler weather. Under the hood, this Deluxe 88 houses a rebuilt 324 Rocket V8, bored over by .030 and equipped with a new cam, lifters, and pistons, delivering a robust rumble that will turn heads. Paired with a rebuilt Oldsmobile Hydramatic 4-speed automatic transmission with under 1,000 miles, the powertrain offers smooth shifts and dependable performance. The factory rear axle and power drum brakes ensure a driving experience that balances vintage character with functional control. Adding to the raw appeal are the glasspack-style mufflers and American Racing torque thrust wheels that perfectly complement the car's classic stance.
