1955 Triumph TR2 Base

This 1955 Triumph TR2 convertible was purchased in October 2024 as a stalled project. The prior owner completed the paint and bodywork and included a new, uninstalled interior.

Assembly and installation were completed from November 2024 to present. An extensive refurbishment list is documented in the photo gallery.

The car has all the early TR2 features, including long doors, Lockheed brakes, painted hinges, early wiper motor, and small-mouth front. It is equipped with a manual transmission and overdrive. British Heritage records were unable to confirm whether the car left the factory with overdrive. Finished in GM Light Blue (WA747) with a black interior. Odometer shows 42,000 miles. Engine runs cool, great oil pressure, great power. Transmission, including overdrove, work great. It's a delight to drive.
