1956 Chevrolet BelAir Restomod

This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is the kind of build that immediately gets your attention if you know these cars. It has the classic Tri-Five Chevrolet look everyone loves, but underneath it has been completely restored and upgraded with the kind of modern components that make it far more enjoyable to drive, show, and own. From the Art Morrison chassis setup to the custom interior, Wilwood brakes, Vintage Air, custom wheels, and polished stainless exhaust, this Bel Air was clearly built with serious attention to detail. The car rides on an Art Morrison frame with upgraded suspension, steering, rear end, brakes, headers, and related components per the build invoice. That is a major upgrade on a car like this, giving it a much more modern foundation while still keeping the timeless 1956 Bel Air character intact. The engine and transmission were taken apart and custom painted to match the car, with additional powertrain details noted through the Karl Kustoms invoice. Custom painted valve covers, a Cold Case radiator, A/C condenser, hydraulic hoses, stainless hardware, and all-new gaskets and rubber help round out the mechanical side of the build. The stance is finished off with custom-sized Schott wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, giving the car a high-end look without taking away from its classic lines. Braking is handled by Wilwood brakes, while a Rick's custom stainless fuel tank, Ron Francis wiring, Rain Gear wipers, and Vintage Air system add modern reliability and comfort. The polished 3-inch stainless exhaust is TIG welded and finished with aluminum hangers, another example of the level of detail that went into the car.Inside, the Bel Air features a complete custom interior by Armando's Custom Upholstery in California, with over $30,000 reportedly invested in the cabin alone. The interior is paired with electric windows, new glass all around, new dash switches, Classic Instruments-style gauges, an 18-inch original-style steering wheel, custom steering column, Lokar brake pedal, throttle, shifter, and parking brake pedal. A Bluetooth sound system with speakers and subwoofer adds modern convenience while keeping the overall presentation clean and tasteful. The exterior has also been gone through with all-new chrome, trim, hardware, lights, and smooth front and rear chrome bumpers. New interior and exterior lighting, Xenon headlights, fresh glass, new rubber, and polished details throughout give the car the finished look a high-level Bel Air build deserves. This is not just shiny for photos, it's a real-deal restored custom with the expensive stuff already handled.Key Highlights:1956 Chevrolet Bel Air custom restomodComplete restoration with extensive custom upgradesArt Morrison frame and chassis componentsUpgraded suspension, steering, rear end, brakes, and headersEngine and transmission disassembled and custom painted to match the carPowertrain details supported by Karl Kustoms invoiceComplete custom interior by Armando's Custom Upholstery in CaliforniaOver $30,000 reportedly invested in the interiorCustom-sized Schott wheelsMichelin Pilot Sport tiresVintage Air systemRain Gear wipersRick's custom stainless fuel tankRon Francis wiringWilwood brakesPolished 3-inch stainless TIG-welded exhaustElectric windows and new glass all aroundClassic-style gauges and all-new dash switchesSmooth front and rear chrome bumpersBluetooth sound system with speakers and subwooferThis Bel Air has the look, the stance, and the right parts in the right places.
