Description
This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the seller’s father in 1968, was last driven in the 1970s, and has been stored in a garage for over 50 years. The car is equipped with a 327ci V8 that was installed during the 1960s, and it is currently non-running. A 265ci V8 block, crankshaft, and a spare unused set of .030 pistons are included in the sale. The car is finished in red over red and equipped with a white convertible soft top, an AM radio, bucket seats, and a twin-cowl dash with a dash-mounted rearview mirror. This C1 project is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with spare parts and a clean New Jersey title. The car was repainted red during the mid-1960s, and the seller believes that it had come from the factory in Arctic Blue. Exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, a wraparound windshield, exterior door handles, split chrome bumpers, chrome front and rear bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper uprights. The rear window is clouded, the taillight bulbs are missing, and paint blemishes are present around the car. The seller notes that the car was not cleaned before the photographs were taken.
