Description
This custom 1956 GMC 100 pickup is powered by a Chevrolet big-block V-8 engine paired with a Tremec T-5 five-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. The engine is equipped with a Brawler 850 double-pumper carburetor and breathes through a 3-inch exhaust system with Flowmaster 10 mufflers. The suspension features Heidts drop spindles, a Mustang II front end and a RideTech auto-leveling air-ride system concealed beneath the raised bed floor. The frame-off restoration is finished in PPG Hot Rod Flat Black paint and features new bolt kits, a custom stained-wood bed, frenched-in taillights, deleted bed pockets and a deleted exterior gas filler. The gas fill is hidden behind the tailgate. It rides on 20-inch Helo wheels with spiked lugs and Nitto 555 G2 tires measuring 245/45ZR20 in front and 315/35ZR20 in the rear. The custom interior features air conditioning, a custom gear shifter, custom seat brackets and the original steering wheel cut down to 15 inches. The air horns are concealed beneath the raised bed floor. The car resides in a climate-controlled garage.
