Description1956 Jaguar D-Type Long Nose Competition Replica Convertible Tribute reproduction of the 1956 Le Mans winning car This exceptional 1956 Le Mans winning D-Type recreation was performed by one of America's leading Jaguar restoration firms - Predator Performance in Tampa, Florida. This is Predator tube chassis #XKD0026, the frame is a tube ladder design for racing, with an aluminum center monocoque, Dunlop Racing wheels & 6.50 Dunlop racing tires. The engine is a Jaguar 4.2 liter twin cam, w/ triple Webers, a Dry-Sump look, with over 300 bhp @ 5800 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed all-synchro T5, the car has exceed speeds of 175mph! The suspension has a fully adjustable coil-over instead of a torsion-bar. Handling and performance exceeds the original D-type s with many modern performance upgrades. The exterior is painted British Racing Green. The interior is laid out as per the original 56 Competition D-Type, seats in correct green Connolly leather and were trimmed by the company who trimmed the competition D-Type, complete with 5 point race ready seat belts.
