Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door hardtop was sold new from A.G. Oberholzer Chevrolet in Terre Hill, Pennsylvania, and remained there with its first owner until it was purchased from their estate by the selling dealer in 2025. The car was disassembled and refurbished between 1987 and 1989 with work that involved blasting and refinishing the frame as well as repainting the hardtop body in Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige. The 283ci V8 was rebuilt and is linked to a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the bench seats were re-trimmed in beige and black and are accompanied by copper carpeting and trim, a Wonder Bar AM radio, and a heater. Additional equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, a dual exhaust system, power steering and brakes, and 14″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. This Bel Air Sport Sedan is now offered with refurbishment photos, hand-written records, a 1957 dealer invoice, a newspaper article about the car, and a Pennsylvania title. The hardtop body left the factory finished in Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige, and it was repainted in the late 1980s. Features include twin wind splits, hooded headlights, dual chrome mirrors, back-up lights, tinted glass, a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight, and chrome and stainless trim. The seller notes fogging in the right-front door glass.
