1957 Pontiac Bonneville

347 Rochester Fi V8, 3-Speed Automatic, 1 of 630 '57 Bonnevilles Made! Wow! This 1957 Pontiac Bonneville represents one of the most exclusive and technologically advanced American automobiles of the 1950s—one of only 630 produced, with just one sent to each Pontiac dealer in the United States, plus two prototypes built for internal use. As Pontiac's halo car for 1957, the Bonneville showcased engineering innovation, luxury features, and limited-production prestige that placed it among the most sought-after models of its era then—and now. At its heart is the factory 347 cubic-inch Rochester fuel-injected V8, rated at 315 horsepower, making the Bonneville one of the earliest American production cars to feature fuel injection. Paired with the 3-speed Strato-Flight Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, the car delivered exceptional power and smooth drivability that stood apart from its contemporaries. Pontiac built this flagship convertible to be loaded, and it remains one of the most “power-accessory” vehicles ever produced in the '50s. Finished in its striking factory-correct Fontaine Blue with Kenya Ivory inserts, the Bonneville presents with a timeless two-tone color scheme that defines late-'50s design. The blue metallic and ivory leather interior complements the exterior beautifully, while the ivory-colored vinyl convertible top includes the Bonneville's incredibly rare built-in interior light—a feature unique to this limited production model. Everywhere you look, the car exudes high-end luxury and design sophistication. This Bonneville came equipped with nearly every available luxury feature of the time, including power steering, power brakes, power windows, power antenna, power convertible top, and even power-heated seats. The interior also boasts a Wonderbar radio, padded dash, automatic headlight dimmers, and the correct special wheel covers, further solidifying the car's status as Pontiac's top-tier showpiece for 1957. The car previously resided in the well-known Al Wiseman Collection, a testament to its quality and desirability. It benefits from a frame-off restoration, estimated to have been completed in the late 1990s, and has been well maintained since. Recent servicing includes a new power top motor, new starter, and a rebuilt Bendix power brake booster, ensuring that it continues to operate as impressively as it presents. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectible Pontiacs ever produced—a beautifully finished, heavily optioned, fuel-injected 1957 Bonneville convertible that remains a standout example of 1950s American styling and engineering. A truly remarkable piece of Pontiac history and an exceptional collector-grade classic.
