1958 BMW Isetta

Description1958 BMW Isetta 300 Few automobiles are as instantly recognizable—or as much fun—as the classic BMW Isetta. This 1958 BMW Isetta 300 is a charming example of BMW’s iconic postwar microcar and presents very well in its eye-catching yellow and black color combination. The Isetta’s unmistakable design features its famous front-opening door, compact proportions, large greenhouse and sliding fabric sunroof. The bright yellow body contrasted by the black upper section gives this little BMW tremendous character and makes it an attention-getter wherever it goes. Inside, the simple cabin retains the character that makes an Isetta such a unique experience, including its bench seating, minimalist instrumentation and steering column arrangement that moves with the front door. This Isetta runs and drives and presents very well overall. The underside and mechanical areas are shown in our photographs so prospective buyers can get a good look at the vehicle from multiple angles. As expected with a vintage automobile of this age, various components show age, patina and normal signs of use. Powered by BMW’s rear-mounted single-cylinder engine and paired with a manual transmission, the Isetta delivers an experience unlike virtually anything else on the road. It is a wonderful conversation piece and an excellent addition to a BMW collection, microcar collection, private museum or enthusiast garage. Highlights include: 1958 BMW Isetta 300, running and driving condition, striking yellow and black presentation, front-opening door, sliding fabric sunroof, classic bench-seat interior, rear-mounted single-cylinder engine and unmistakable 1950s European microcar styling. A truly unique piece of BMW history that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Milford Auto Mall Sales & Service Out-of-state and international buyers are welcome.
