Description
This 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door Sport Coupe is a custom build initially completed in ~2002, and and the work was continued following the seller’s acquisition in 2014, which included installation of a GM-sourced Connect and Cruise powertrain package with a 6.2-liter LS376/525 V8 and 4L70E automatic transmission. The body has replacement sheet metal, blended body-color bumpers, and yellow paint with black pinstriping, while the cabin is outfitted with black vinyl upholstery, Simpson front harnesses, Dakota Digital gauges, and a B&M console shifter. Other equipment includes a Positraction differential, a narrowed Ford 9″ rear axle, 16″ American Racing wheels, hydroboost-assisted Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, a Global West tubular suspension, Viking double-adjustable coilovers, air conditioning, and a JVC CD stereo. This modified Bel Air is now offered in Canada with service records, spare parts, a car cover, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name. The car received replacement floor pans and quarter patch panels from Classic Industries in 2002 before being repainted in Ford Focus Yellow, according to the seller, who notes that Steele weather-proofing material has been used during the build. Exterior details include body-color smoothed bumpers, hooded headlights, stainless window surrounds, a Ron Francis third brake light, Impala sport mirror housings, tinted glass, bullet-style taillights, and side-exit exhaust outlets. The power-operated antenna requires service.
