1958 Chevrolet Delray Deluxe 4-Speed

This 1958 Chevrolet Delray Deluxe two-door sedan left the factory powered by an inline-six and was delivered new to Hennebry Chevrolet of LaGrange, Illinois. It was purchased by its first owner on August 7, 1958, and remained under the care of one family for more than four decades. Refurbishment work in the 1980s and 1990s included installing a replacement frame and body panels. Purchased by the current owner’s husband in 1999, the car was subsequently fitted with a 283ci V8 and Rochester Ramjet fuel injection as well as a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission. Other components include a Centerforce Clutch, an ARP flywheel, and a 4.56:1 PosiTraction rear end. The body is finished in two-tone Cay Coral and Arctic White over Silver vinyl and Gunmetal cloth upholstery, and additional equipment includes a dual exhaust system, hydraulic drum brakes, an AM radio, a heater, and front lap belts. This fuel-injected Del Ray was previously listed on BaT in July 2026 and is now offered on dealer consignment with original sales paperwork, photos from the 1950s and 1960s, refurbishment photos and records, a history of the car written by a long-term owner, and a Washington title in the owner’s name.
