1958 Imperial Crown

1958 Imperial Crown Convertible 392 Hemi Automatic Swivel Seats - Restored WOW! The 1958 Imperial Crown Convertible is a rolling testament to the golden era of American luxury automobiles, and this particular example offers a story as rare and compelling as its exquisite craftsmanship. Representing Chrysler's top-tier luxury division, only 675 Imperial Crown convertibles were produced in 1958, making this car a coveted gem in its own right. However, this specific vehicle is believed to be the only one ever produced in the stunning PNT FFF Cypress Green metallic paint, making it an unparalleled collector's dream—1 of only 20 known to exist today and possibly a one-of-one masterpiece. This remarkable vehicle underwent a comprehensive rotisserie restoration some years ago, meticulously returning it to its former glory. The attention to detail is evident in every curve and feature, from the factory-original wheel covers to the eye-catching wide whitewall bias-ply tires. The Cypress Green metallic paint gleams with a deep luster, perfectly complemented by the gray convertible top. While the top has a minor tear, as noted in the photos, its functionality remains intact, and a convertible boot is included to maintain its sleek profile when the top is stowed away. Under the hood lies the beating heart of this extraordinary machine: a rebuilt 392ci HEMI V8 engine. This legendary powerplant, factory-rated at an impressive 345 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, is paired with a smooth-shifting three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, offering effortless power delivery and a refined driving experience. Whether cruising down a coastal highway or making an entrance at a car show, this Imperial Crown delivers a commanding presence and performance to match. Step inside, and you'll be transported to an era of opulence and innovation. The interior is finished in green leather upholstery (TRM 084), perfectly harmonizing with the exterior color. The luxurious swivel front seats are a unique touch, offering ease of entry and exit while adding to the car's charm. Power features abound, including power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, and a power-operated convertible top. Even the smallest details have been preserved, such as the original AM radio, dash-mounted rearview mirror, and Imperial-branded doorsill guards, which further enhance the authenticity of this exceptional classic. The dashboard features a two-spoke steering wheel framing a 120-mph speedometer, clock, and auxiliary gauges, encapsulating mid-century modern design with a focus on elegance and utility. The fender-mounted dual-side mirrors add to the car's sophisticated appearance, while the simulated spare tire cover integrated into the Flight-Sweep deck lid is a signature design element unique to the Imperial Crown. This car also comes equipped with front seatbelts for added safety, a rare feature for the time. Having been refurbished in 2019, this Imperial Crown Convertible presents in exceptional condition, with only minor blemishes that attest to its authenticity and age. The restoration was performed around the time the previous owner acquired the vehicle, ensuring that it has been well cared for in recent years. This level of preservation and care makes it an outstanding example of mid-century American automotive luxury. Owning this 1958 Imperial Crown Convertible is not merely acquiring a classic car—it is a chance to possess a piece of history, a work of art, and a symbol of unparalleled craftsmanship. Its rarity, particularly as the only known Cypress Green metallic convertible, elevates its desirability to the highest echelon of automotive collectibles. For the discerning collector or enthusiast seeking the ultimate statement vehicle, this Imperial Crown offers an opportunity that is as rare as it is extraordinary. Don't miss your chance to own what may very well be the only example of its kind in existence.
