1958 MG MGA 1500 Roadster

This 1958 MG MGA 1500 roadster was acquired by the late owner in 1960 out of Illinois, who is said to have “pulled the car out of a snowbank,” and has resided in California since 1963. It was the subject of a cosmetic refurbishment completed in 2010 by Brian D. Moore Restoration in Rancho Cordova, California, which comprised a repaint in black and a retrim of the interior in red leather, while the 1,489cc inline-four was rebuilt in the 1990s, and the four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt in 2014. The car features 15″ knock-off wire wheels and a black soft top and tonneau cover as well as side curtains, lap belts, and a cabin heater. This MGA 1500 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the late owner’s trust with spare parts, handwritten logs, and a clean California title in the trust’s name. During the aforementioned 2010 refurbishment, the car was reportedly stripped, repairs were made to the lower fenders, and the car was repainted in black. The seller states the bumpers, overriders, side mirror, and trim on the car were rechromed in 1992. A crack is visible in the top-right of the windshield, the black soft top has a tear, and its windows are cloudy.
