1959 Autobianchi Bianchina Transformabile

This 1959 Autobianchi Bianchina Trasformabile Series II was acquired by the seller in 2021, and work since then has involved rebuilding the carburetor and replacing ignition components for the 479cc inline-twin as well as replacing clutch components for the four-speed manual transaxle. The fuel tank was also relined, and the fuel pump, timing chain, and rear wheel bearings were replaced. The car has been refinished in black and has a red rear decklid stripe. Other details include a black soft top, 12″ steel wheels, and black vinyl upholstery. This Bianchina is now offered at no reserve with an Ohio title in the seller’s name that describes the make and model as Fiat. Based on the Fiat 500, the Bianchina was produced by Autobianchi from 1957 through 1969 in various body styles. The Trasformabile featured a fixed roof profile with a retractable soft top. The car was refinished in black at some point under prior ownership, and the rear decklid has a red center stripe. Exterior features include rear-hinged doors, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers. Gallery photos show flaws in the soft top, which the seller notes needs to be replaced, as well as areas of faded and worn paint, rust on the right rear fender, and a cracked grille.
