Description
This restomod 1959 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible is powered by a GM Performance Gen V 6.2-liter LT1 direct-injected V-8 engine producing 460hp, mated to a 4L75E four-speed automatic transmission connected to a Strange Engineering third member with 3.70 gears. Professionally built exclusively for the Barrett-Jackson 2027 Scottsdale Auction by 20-year veteran builder and consignor John Weber, the Corvette was completed in August 2026. The LT1 is dressed with a custom-finished low-profile intake, matching custom coil covers and a blacked-out Holley front-runner accessory drive. A stainless-steel exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers handles the exhaust. The Corvette rides on a Galaxy Silver powder-coated Art Morrison GT Sport chassis with sport suspension and Strange aluminum coilovers fully adjustable for ride height. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted Wilwood brakes with 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors, six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers. The detailed engine compartment features a smoothed firewall and LED lighting. The body is finished in a custom-mixed Rose Gold Pearl with Pearl White coves and high-solids clearcoat and rides on custom-built staggered Schott Performance wheels wrapped in wide-whitewall tires. The custom interior is trimmed in Pearl-colored leather with one-off stitching accents and German square-weave carpeting that continues into the trunk. Amenities include a Vintage Air Gen V Super Cooler climate-control system, Dakota Digital RTX gauges, an OEM-style Bluetooth radio and a Shiftworks shifter. Additional features include an Oyster-colored Stayfast convertible top, LED lighting and a linear hood-opening system. This car has been driven test miles only.
