Vehicle Description 1960 Chevrolet Impala $42,960 1960 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door Sport Sedan, Flat Top, Incredible Unrestored Survivor! Believed to Be 55,587 Original Miles, Original Two-Tone Paint, Original Houndstooth Interior, Original 283 V8, 35 Years with Previous Owner, Exceptional Survivor! Here is your opportunity to own a truly remarkable piece of Chevrolet history! This beautiful 1960 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door Sport Sedan, affectionately known among collectors as the Flat Top or Flat Roof, is an outstanding example of an unrestored, well-preserved American classic. Finding a 1960 Impala that has survived more than six decades while retaining its original paint, original interior, and original drivetrain is becoming increasingly difficult, and this one is something special! Believed to have just 55,587 original miles, this Impala is a testament to careful ownership, proper storage, and years of preservation. Originally sold new at Streator Chevrolet Co. in Salt Lake City, Utah, this beautiful Chevrolet has spent its life in Utah, including the last 35 years with the same owner. Always garage kept and clearly cared for throughout its life, this is the type of original survivor that collectors and enthusiasts appreciate. Finished in its original Code 963 Ermine White and Tasco Turquoise two-tone paint, this Impala showcases one of Chevrolet's most attractive color combinations from 1960. The gorgeous turquoise contrasts beautifully with the Ermine White, highlighting the distinctive body lines, sweeping side trim, and unmistakable styling that made these cars so popular when new. The paint is original and naturally shows some age and imperfections consistent with its 66-year history, but the overall presentation is exceptional for an unrestored survivor. This car has character, authenticity, and a level of originality that simply cannot be duplicated with a restoration! Step inside and you'll find an equally impressive original Code 852 Turquoise and White Houndstooth interior. The beautiful period-correct upholstery, coordinating door panels, and classic Chevrolet dashboard take you straight back to 1960. The interior presents exceptionally well for its age and is another wonderful example of how carefully this Impala has been preserved. It even retains some desirable factory features, including a padded dashboard and its original AM radio that still works! These are the little details that make an original survivor so enjoyable to own. Under the hood sits its original 283 cubic-inch V8 engine, paired with Chevrolet's dependable 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car also features dual exhaust, giving this classic Impala that unmistakable small-block Chevrolet sound. Best of all, this is not just a beautiful car to admire in the garage. It runs and drives excellent and was recently driven a long distance without issue! It starts, runs, shifts, and cruises just as you would hope from a well-maintained classic. Recent mechanical attention includes new brake shoes and wheel cylinders on all four wheels, along with a rebuilt carburetor, helping keep this Impala ready for the road. Even the gas gauge works! Completing the classic appearance are the correct 1960 Chevrolet Impala 14-inch hubcaps wrapped in traditional whitewall tires, giving this car that timeless factory look. What makes this particular Impala so special is its originality. Too many of these cars have been modified, repainted, customized, or completely restored over the years. This example has retained the personality and authenticity that Chevrolet gave it back in 1960. From the original two-tone paint to the stunning Houndstooth interior and original V8 drivetrain, it represents an increasingly rare opportunity to experience a classic Chevrolet much as it was decades ago. The 1960 Impala Flat Top is especially desirable for its distinctive roofline, expansive glass area, thin pillars, and beautiful panoramic visibility. Its long, low body, dramatic rear styling, and generous chrome trim make it one of the most recognizable American automobiles of its era. Whether you're a collector who appreciates originality, a Chevrolet enthusiast, or someone looking for a beautiful classic to enjoy with family and friends, this Impala checks a lot of boxes. This is NOT a freshly restored show car, and that is exactly what makes it so special! It is a genuine unrestored survivor that presents beautifully, drives wonderfully, and proudly displays more than six decades of history. Cars with this level of originality, attractive colors, long-term ownership, and documented history from a longtime owner are becoming harder and harder to find. If you've been searching for an honest, beautiful, highly original 1960 Chevrolet Impala Flat Top, this is one you will definitely want to see in person!
