1960 Pontiac Catalina

Custom 60 Pontiac Catalina Show Car 389 Tri-Power 4-spd Custom Interior WOW! This 1960 Pontiac Catalina Custom two-door is a true showpiece that reflects an extraordinary level of craftsmanship, vision, and investment, with a full custom restoration reportedly totaling over $140,000. Built to stand out rather than blend in, this Catalina was clearly constructed with the intent of competing at shows and drawing attention from every angle, and it succeeds in doing exactly that. Wearing a deep black metallic finish accented by silver highlights, the exterior has been finished in a high-quality base-clear system that has been wet sanded and buffed to a mirror-like gloss. The body has been extensively customized, featuring shaved door handles and trim for a cleaner, sleeker profile, along with distinctive 1959 Cadillac taillights that add a dramatic and unmistakable custom touch to the rear. The stance is purposeful and aggressive thanks to a lowered suspension, while classic 14-inch Pontiac eight-lug wheels wrapped in wide whitewall tires perfectly tie the custom build back to its early-1960s roots. Under the hood sits a replacement 389 cubic-inch Pontiac V8, enhanced with a trio of two-barrel carburetors that not only improve performance but also create an incredible visual presentation. Nearly everything under the hood has been chromed, and the attention to detail continues with finished custom panels in both the engine bay and trunk. Power is delivered through a four-speed manual transmission, topped with a Hurst shifter that reinforces the car's performance-oriented personality. Custom side-exit exhaust completes the package with an aggressive tone that matches the car's bold appearance. The interior is nothing short of stunning and clearly reflects the same no-expense-spared approach as the rest of the build. Black and gray leather upholstery is complemented by suede accents, custom rear bucket seats, and a fully customized headliner, creating a cabin that feels both luxurious and dramatic. A center console houses the power window switches, adding a modern touch to this classic custom, while light tinted glass enhances both comfort and aesthetics. An aftermarket stereo system is discreetly integrated, and the trunk is fully finished with custom upholstery, underscoring the level of craftsmanship throughout the entire vehicle. Power steering and power-assisted brakes ensure the car remains manageable and enjoyable to drive, though it's important to note that this Catalina was built primarily as a show car. As such, it does not have windshield wipers, heat, or reverse lights, emphasizing its purpose as a display-quality custom rather than a daily driver. Every aspect of the build shows meticulous planning and execution, from the overall design to the smallest details. With chassis number 160K8135 and a clean New Jersey title, this 1960 Pontiac Catalina Custom represents a rare opportunity to acquire a professionally built, show-quality custom that would be nearly impossible to replicate today at anything close to its build cost. It is a striking example of classic Pontiac styling elevated through thoughtful customization, exceptional workmanship, and undeniable presence, making it an ideal centerpiece for any serious collection or custom car enthusiast seeking something truly special.
