1960 Studebaker Hawk

Vehicle Description 1960 Studebaker Hawk $10,495 1960 Studebaker Hawk – 289 V8, Automatic, Rare C-Body Coupe Rare and stylish, this 1960 Studebaker Hawk is a desirable C-body 2-door coupe powered by the legendary 289 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. One of only 4,507 Hawks produced in 1960, this example is production number 2,851. The 1960 Hawk represented the final evolution of Studebaker's iconic Hawk design. It came equipped with the 289 cubic-inch V8 rated at 210 horsepower, along with factory improvements that included a heavier-duty rear axle, upgraded cooling system, and finned drum brakes. Runs, drives, and stops. The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts properly, and the car is roadworthy. Brake pedal is currently firm, but the brakes feel mushy and should be inspected or serviced before regular driving. This Hawk features the desirable rear flip-out window and the correct two-nut valve covers found on mid-to-late 1960 production cars. An increasingly rare collector car, this 1960 Studebaker Hawk offers classic American styling, V8 performance, and the unique character that made Studebaker legendary. A great candidate for preservation, restoration, or weekend cruising.
