1961 Ford Thunderbird Coupe

VEHICLE SUMMARY Solid Climate Provenance: Long-term California-to-North Carolina car under the same owner since 2000 (25+ years). Jet-Age Big-Block Power: Smooth 390ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and dual exhaust. Iconic "Swing-Away" Wheel: Famous factory "Swing-Away" steering column functions as intended for easy entry/exit. Classic Palette: Finished in factory-correct Heritage Burgundy over a Light Pearl Beige interior with front/rear lap belts. Cruising Comforts: Factory power windows, power steering, power brakes, and an upgraded Kenwood stereo system. CONDITION & KNOWN QUIRKS (READ BEFORE BUYING) Body/Paint: Solid California floor pans and frame. Paint is an older repaint in Heritage Burgundy that presents well for cruise-ins, with expected chips, scratches, and a circular blemish above the driver's rear fender. Tires: Tires retain high tread but carry 2016 date codes so replacement is recommended prior to long-distance highway travel. Mechanical Status: Runs and drives, but the 390 V8 needs a carburetor rebuild/tune-up for optimal performance. Trunk and engine bay are in driver/survivor condition. Non-Functional Items: Wipers and heater/blower motor are currently inoperative. Emergency brake holds but is weak.
