Description
OVERVIEWAustin-Healey's 3000 arrived in 1959 as the third and final generation of the "Big Healey" line, following the 100 and 100-6 — the BT7's 2+2 body itself carried over unchanged from the outgoing 100-6 rather than being new to the 3000. The Mark I BT7 (1959–1961) ran twin SU carburetors, shared with the two-seat BN7; triple SUs didn't arrive until the Mark II update in May 1961, and even then applied to both body styles, not BT7 specifically. The model won its class in numerous European rallies during its production run and remains actively raced in classic competition today, a record that underpins its standing among collector Big Healeys. The Austin-Healey Club of America is the primary marque club supporting the model today.View More
