Description
This custom 1962 Chevrolet C-30 Fleetside short-bed pickup is powered by a new Chevrolet 383ci 500hp stroker V-8 engine paired with a fully rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission with a shift kit. An aluminum large-core radiator with an electric cooling fan provides engine cooling. The truck rides on a stripped and painted 1964 C10 frame fitted with CCP drop spindles, tubular front control arms, Ridetech tie-rod connectors, Viking adjustable coilovers and a front sway bar. The rear features tubular trailing arms, drop shocks, a CCP tubular shock crossmember, a C-notch and a Currie Enterprises 9-inch rear-end housing with a Yukon Positraction third member and 3.70 gears. Borgeson power steering is also fitted. Power disc brakes feature red Wilwood dual-piston calipers and slotted rotors at all four corners. The truck was completely disassembled and placed on a rotisserie during the restoration. The undercarriage and suspension components are finished in the same color as the exterior. The body was restored using new sheet metal, including the complete bed, roof skin, one-piece floor pan, rocker panels, cab corners, doors, fenders, inner fenders and hood. The original radiator and grille supports were retained. It is finished in custom Axalta Sea Foam Green and white basecoat/clearcoat and rides on new Ridler 22x9 front and 22x10.5 rear wheels and tires. Additional exterior equipment includes new glass, weatherstripping, Altman door latches and polished billet Eddie Motorsports heavy-duty hood hinges. The interior features TMI leather and suede bucket seats, a custom-built center console, Dakota Digital RTX gauges with green LED lighting and Vintage Air climate control. The audio system includes a Pioneer retractable stereo, front kick-panel speakers, Alpine 6x9-inch rear speakers in custom cab enclosures and an amplified subwoofer mounted behind the bucket seats. A polished aluminum fuel tank is mounted beneath the rear of the bed. A build book with photographs is included. The truck has been driven 100 miles since completion.
