OVERVIEWThe Jaguar E-Type Series 1 was introduced in 1961 and used the 3.8-liter engine through the 1964 model year, before Jaguar replaced it with the 4.2-liter engine in October. This car, manufactured on 29 April 1963 per its JDHT certificate, was built after Jaguar's early-1962 running change from the original "flat floor" footwell design to a dished, welded floor pan with revised pedal geometry, a change made to improve driver legroom. The car scored 99.85 points at the 2015 Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) Concours d'Elegance, one of the highest scores attainable in JCNA judging.
