The restoration also included a Richards galvanized chassis and refinished galvanized components throughout.Power comes from a Land Rover Defender 200TDi turbo diesel, sourced from a 64,000-mile vehicle and refreshed with a new timing belt, water pump, rear main seal, Garret Turbo, and clutch prior to installation. A rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with a high-ratio transfer case delivers power through heavy-duty 24-spline Salisbury axles. Additional upgrades include Toyota FJ60 power steering, Rovers North parabolic leaf springs, Old Man Emu shocks, a Borgeson collapsible steering column, and five Michelin ZXL tires.Inside, custom Exmoor seating, a Tuffy locking center console, Kodiak heater, and a unique Russian Tupolev bomber clock complement the purposeful cabin. A replacement wiring harness with factory-style cloth wrapping preserves the vintage presentation.
